What services do you offer?
The services include learning opportunities around social identity inclusion. My goal is to provide participants with strategies to be inclusive and advocate for inclusion in both professional and personal spaces.
I avoid conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion. How is this service beneficial for me?
Inclusive environments ensure that all people, regardless of differences in social identity, can be welcomed and be successful. Part of the service includes strategies around managing discomfort and uncertainty.
I think everybody has an equal chance to be successful. Why would this service be needed?
People should have an equal chance at success, but there are structural barriers to success for many people. Inclusive strategies can help challenge discrimination both individually and institutionally.
Diversity and Inclusion are broad ideas. How do you determine what information individuals or organizations need to receive?
Included in the service is a pre-engagement meeting. In the pre-engagement meeting, I will meet with participants to determine what the institution’s goals are as well as some of the challenges they face. Each engagement is tailored to that organization’s needs and goals. The service does focus on systems of power, privilege, and individual social identities.
How do I provide feedback on your service?
Assessment is critical to understanding my work’s impact. After each engagement opportunity, participants will have an opportunity to provide feedback in the form of a survey. I use the feedback to improve my delivery, content, and approach.
